What Is Microcement

Microcement is a composite coating based on cement, aqueous resins, additives and mineral pigments. Microcement is sometimes also called Designcement, Microconcrete or Microtopping.

Microcement can be applied on everything from your kitchen counter to floors in public environments of several hundred square meters. The most common use for microcement are in new construction instead of concrete floors, in bathroom renovations or on large joints without joists. The finished surface has an exclusive look that is easy to clean and maintain because it has no joints where dirt can get stuck.

Because microcement is applied in a thin layer of 2-4mm, neither building construction nor existing moldings and doors are affected by the weight or thickness of the material.

We can create concrete surfaces in any color you would like and with several different finishes. Depending on which of our materials you choose, you can get everything from a smooth surface with no texture to a rough surface reminiscent of a rustic plaster.

In addition to the materials properties the amount of life in the final product also depends on the design, temperature, humidity, etc. In other words, all surfaces become unique. As the microcement cures, it gets a hard water-resistant concrete-like surface.

Microbase is always used as the base product, it is in the microbase the strength of the material lies. If you want a coarser structure, you can also use microbase as the final layer. Microbase is available in grain sizes 0.4-0.6mm. With a coarser base you get a harder floor with a rustic finish

Microdeck can be used on floor, wall etc. Microdeck provides a very durable concrete surface and is the product we recommend on floors that are subjected to heavy wear. The surface becomes smooth with a medium structure.

Microfino is made of extremely fine cement and is applied very thin. The surface becomes completely smooth without pores. With microfino you often get a somewhat livelier pattern than with microdeck. Microfino is primarily a wall product but can also be used on floors.

Microstone is made of extremely fine cement and is applied very thin. The surface becomes completely smooth without pores. With microfino you often get a somewhat livelier pattern than with microdeck. Microfino is primarily a wall product but can also be used on floors.
